Egads. Easily one of the creepiest things I’ve encountered online.
It unfortunately looks legit. :/
Since when do people bid for under-aged wives like on e-Bay? This site is seriously wrong…
Oh. My. God.
Lots of arm-pinching going on when that URL loads. If only it were actually a dream…
Yikes 🙁
Did you read the testimonials? Please tell me people don’t marry off their daughter so they can get out of the trailer park.
Drew
Ok, after looking at the testimonials, I’m thinking it might be a joke:
“Our 15 year old daughter Mary wasn’t very popular and did nothing but mope around the house bringing everybody down, so we decided to marry her off through your site. Now our house is a lot cheerier and we love our new swimming pool and Jaccuzi! We’ve told our youngest that when she turns 15 we’re going to marry her off too!”

Yeah – looking even more like a hoax now judging by stuff I’m seeing elsewhere.
Still – it’s a sad day when you can’t immediately brush this stuff off as “BS”…
You know … all my thoughts are that this could NOT be true — but somewhere in the back of my mind there is that lingering doubt — after all it is not openly funny. Just creepy.
Really creepy. American style.
Everyone, don’t worry.This site is a prank!It isn’t for real.
I just read on another website that the guy who made the website was trying to bring attention to state laws in the US where it’s illegal to have sex with a minor, but it most cases, with parental permission, you can marry a minor. Very cleaver in my opinion. Though, another issue that should be talked about is the fact that this kind of thing DOES actually happen everywhere.
It’s a very good hoax but a hoax none-the-less.
What about the fact that there were men trying to contact the website for more information on these girls, and what about the horrible parents who were sending information about their daughters!?! I hope that the guy who made the site turns over their info to social services. Those little girls are being put in danger of being victims of sexual assult and/or other forms of abuse by the people who they should be able to trust the most, their parents!!!

There’s an interesting discussion about this site here: http://www.museumofhoaxes.com/hoax/weblog/comments/marry_our_daughter/
and Snopes weighs in here: http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/hoaxes/marryourdaughter.asp
The consensus= hoax
